The uncomfortable sensation you feel is called Visual Discomfort. For some people, it may induce moving vision, sickness or migraines, which is usually diagnosed as Meares-Irlen syndrome. Recent studies suggest that its physiological reason can be an unusual operation of inhibitory neurons in the visual cortex. I am using our neurodynamical model to study the neuronal information foundations of this unusual psychological behaviour.
